Regular Meeting

The meeting was called to order by the president. The following members were present: Mr. Collins, Mrs. Green, Ms. Griffin, Mr. Livingston, Mr. McJoy, and Mr. Williams. Mr. Mosley was absent.
The April 8, 2019 minutes, attendance and financial reports were approved as presented.
A motion was made by Mr. Collins and seconded by Ms. Griffin to accept the K-12 Culinary Connection bid for $40,000 ($3,333 monthly) to manage the Lakeside School District’s K-12 Food Service Program based on the REP. The motion carried.
A motion was made by Ms. Griffin and seconded by Mr. McJoy to approve Newman Fixture’s bid to purchase a walk-in cooler and freezer for the district’s warehouse for $61,051.25 (Supreme Fixture bidded $146,680 and Amico bidded $92,898.60). The motion carried.
The superintendent discussed that the 2019 Graduation Ceremony will be live streamed. The theater will be available to accommodate the large crowd.
The president requested that the board go into executive session for the purpose of employment, appointment, promotion, discipline, or resignation of personnel. After the discussion, the public was allowed to return.
A motion was made by Ms. Griffin and seconded by Mr. Collins to accept the resignation of Kera Carter (Pre-K Teacher), Allyson Dunbar (Middle School Consumer Science and Career Development), Jermaine Johnson (High School/Elementary Special Education Teacher, Football and Softball Coach), Wanda Stewart (Kindergarten Teacher), Donna Rankins (Eudora Elementary Kindergarten Teacher) and approve the retirement of Ilester Brown (Eudora Paraprofessional), Ida Givens (Eudora Special Education Teacher), Jamie Harper (High School CTE Teacher) and James Maiden (Eudora Elementary Principal). The motion carried.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:15 P.M.
