The meeting was called to order by the president. The following members were present: Rev. Green, Mr. Lane, Mrs. Smith, Ms. Sykes, Mrs. Thompson and Mr. Williams. Mr. Livingston was absent.

The March 9, 2026 minutes and financial reports were approved as presented.

The superintendent discussed the Arkansas Legislative Audit (EDSD 04325 – Lakeside School District No 1) for the year ending June 30, 2025 supplemental finding. A motion was made by Mr. Williams and seconded by Mrs. Smith to approve the Legislative Audit report for Year ending June 30, 2025. The motion carried.

The superintendent also discussed Standards for Accreditation status recommendation for 2025-2026, Procedures to Recognize Military Children; 2026 Fiscal Session Bill report; design of cafeteria tables for safe room and Lakeside Elementary; April 9 school bus accident; Junior-Senior Prom (May 2, 2026); Class of 2026 Graduation (May 11, 2026), school board meeting date changed from May 11, 2026 to May 12, 2026 due to graduation; 1.2 Board Organization and vacancies procedures and the AC LU letters to superintendents.

The president requested the board go into executive session for the purpose of employment, appointment, promotion, discipline or resignation of personnel. After the discussion, the public was allowed to return.

A motion was made by Mr. Lane and seconded by Ms. Sykes to renew the contracts of all classified staff recommended (on the list) by Dr. Adams (Central Office Staff, bus drivers, maintenance workers, janitorial, cafeteria and as-needed workers), Mr. Brady (Lakeside High School Classified list), Dr. Wright (Lakeside Middle School Classified list), Dr. Goins (Lakeside Elementary Classified list) and Mr. Sims (Eudora Elementary Classified list). The motion carried.

A motion was made by Mrs. Thompson and seconded by Mr. Williams to approve the contract for Ms. Belinda Jeffers and accept the resignation of Charles Brady (High School Principal). The motion carried.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 6:38 P.M.
