Regular Meeting

December 11, 2018

Staff Development Room

5:30 P.M.

The meeting was called to order by the president. Members present were Mr. Collins, Ms. Griffin, Mr. Livingston, Mr. McJoy, Mr. Mosley and Mr. Williams. Mrs. Green was absent.

The November 13, 2017 minutes and financial reports were approved as presented.

A motion was made by Mr. Collins seconded by Mr. Williams to employ First Security Beardsley as financial advisor for a period of three (3) years effective as of the state of adoption. The motion carried.

The superintendent gave an update on the two-bus accident, which occurred on 12/11/17; The Lakeside Elementary School placed 1st and 2nd in Region 6 Arkansas Stock Market game. A recognition luncheon will be held on January 10, 2018 at the Verizon Arena from 11:30 to 1:30.

Also, the superintendent discussed leasing new school buses versus purchasing new buses; State Auditors and State Child Nutrition Division will be in the district on January 8, 2018 to conduct mandatory reviews.

The president requested that the board go into executive session for the purpose of employment, appointment, discipline, promotion or resignation of personnel.

After the discussion, the public was allowed to return. A motion was made by Mr. Collins, seconded by Mr. McJoy to approve the contract of George Gilbert on an as needed basis as a school bus driver. The motion carried.

There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 5:50 p.m.
